Book Review: Gamer Girl By Mari Mancusi By Poppy Marriott
Gamer Girl is the story of a girl called Maddy who’s parents have separated in an ugly divorce. The divorce resulted in her mother whisking Maddy and her little sister away from the bustling city and into the quiet recesses of the suburbs to live with their Grandmother, who just happens to be obsessed with unicorns. With a new school and new life and popular kids who hate her from the moment she walks into the school, Maddy feels she just can’t cope. So when her dad sends her an online video game for her birthday, she lets herself get lost in sword fights and battles with the mysterious Sir Leo. But can her cyber love help heal her frayed heart?
Gamer girl is a story for the girl that loves a happy ending and doesn’t mind it if the book is a little predictable. I highly recommend this book.
